Work on a proposed Popeyes location on Main Street in Malden would involve demolishing the existing Pine Banks Auto Center, according to city Building Commissioner Nelson Miller. (Dakota Antelman/Patch)MALDEN, MA — A new location for Popeyes Louisiana Chicken may be coming to Malden at a site near the Malden-Melrose border, according to city officials this week. The proposed restaurant would span just over 2,500 square-feet, with a drive-thru lane at what is currently Pine Banks Auto Center at 1100 Main Street.
